New social neighbourhoods
"The innovation content of this project consists in the focus on inclusion with regard to the neighboring school campus and different usage considerations for public and semi-public common areas."
Ingrid Breckner, Member of the Advisory Board
The three buildings, which are held together by a generous pedestal zone, offer the new inhabitants a large number of shared areas that can be actively shaped in a moderated participation process. Offers such as library, toy library (game rental) and multifunctional space are aimed at the entire project area and thus represent a social enrichment for the Berresgasse, whereby the inclusive guiding idea is once again brought to the fore.
In addition to apartments for people with disabilities, there will also be Housing First apartments. Also a caretaker base is provided. The mostly two-sided illuminated apartments are also characterized by their high space suitable for everyday use. Besides of the apartments, the new residents will find generously sized green and open spaces with various games and leisure facilities. On the rooftop, in a secluded setting, there is also a toddler playground and raised beds for gardening.
