My last car

On debating the upcoming climate crisis and a mobility turnaround, we ask ourselves (and others) what we would miss if we had no more cars. The performance is intended to open up a space to depolarize the debate around climate change, to loosen fronts and to enable conversations that are future-oriented without denying a love for cars. 

On 9/22/2020 we placed our old car around the central park in the neighborhood Sonnwendviertel, always keeping the engine cold. We invited people in the park to join us in the car for a short while, where we played audio pieces from the performance MY LAST CAR of july 2020 and presented completed memory albums.  On 10/16 - building on the encounters during the performance of 9/22/2020 - the thoughts and situations that were produced and provoked there will be recorded and spun further. Passers-by were invited to interact with the car and become part of the performance. In this way, an ever new narrative emerged in the course of the afternoon. The performance is intended to trigger a reflection on everyday life with cars in the city.
