The city through a Female Lens
Cities are and were always planned and built by men. After centuries of male-dominated urban planning culture, the urgent question therefore arises as to how the planning of cities presents itself from a female perspective, and what role women will play in the future. In this context, there have been many significant achievements by women over the last 150 years that have shaped, designed and significantly influenced today's city. This ranges from small improvements for our everyday urban life to the design of buidlings, parks and even entire cities. Much of this has become an integral part of the cities we know.
"The City through a Female Lens" under the curatorial direction of Katja Schechtner and Wojciech Czaja is a series of events and activities on this theme.
