OPEN HOUSE WIEN 2022

Around 60 buildings in Vienna and neighboring Lower Austria can be visited without registration on Saturday, September 10, and Sunday, September 11. OPEN HOUSE WIEN shows extraordinary architecture on a scale of 1:1: From trendsetting residential quarters to innovative revitalizations to single-family homes and from educational institutions to commercial buildings, all areas of the built environment are represented. Guided tours with experts and theme trails on current issues round out the offerings. A special focus this year is dedicated to the IBA_Vienna, numerous projects implemented within the framework of the International Building Exhibition will be open to visitors. A separate theme trail invites visitors to explore exemplary new developments for the future of social housing.

OPEN HOUSE WIEN is a format from many for many. Without the cooperation of the volunteers OPEN HOUSE WIEN would not be conceivable: Every year, around 250 volunteer supporters look after the buildings as part of the festival and give short tours.
