In 2030, 2.5 billion women will live and work in cities. For centuries, the life concept of polis has traditionally been dominated by men in its commissioning, planning and execution. The symposium wants to take a look at the city of tomorrow and explore the question with Austrian and international female speakers from the fields of architecture, urban planning, art, architectural theory and mediation: How do urban planning and urban design in theory and practice present themselves from a female perspective? 6 lectures and panel discussions, curated by Katja Schechtner and Wojciech Czaja.
