In the field of social housing, Vienna has been world-renowned for a century. Today, Vienna is also the greenest city in Europe and will present its new social building projects adapted to climate change and environmental protection as part of the IBA_Vienna in 2022. One model project is Biotope City, embedded in the Wienerberg nature park. Join us in this urban oasis and discover the greened facades and roof terraces, community gardens and nesting sites of this "dense city as an element of nature!"
The tour offers an overview of the historical and current development of urban areas. The tour is led by licensed Austria Guides for Future with a focus on climate change, natural and open spaces and ecology.
