In summers, many residents suffer from the heat, especially the elderly and mothers with young children. Diverse measures are suggested to cool down the apartments and create cool lounges outdoors.

Bergtaidingwiese Neighborhood Center
A consumption-free neighborhood center with pergolas, raised beds and spray steles will connect residents and local institutions and encourage them to make greater use of the existing green space there for joint initiatives and activities.
Multigenerational Square
A central place for lingering will be created here by a pavement open to infiltration, as well as a planted seating bay in different seating heights and a pergola.
Upgrading & Redevelopment Bergtaidingweg
As part of the IBA_Vienna 2022, the Bergtaidingweg as a promenade through the Per-Albin-Hansson-Siedlung Ost will be made safer, more attractive and better usable for residents and visitors.
