COMMON BUILDING & LIVING - Ways out of the niche into the mainstream!

With its three-day program at IBA Vienna, the Initiative Gemeinsam Bauen & Wohnen (IniGBW) questions what we as a society think we know about people and about building and living. With the title "Building & Living Together - Ways out of the Niche into the Mainstream", it sets a strong impulse to fuel and reorient the building groups discourse, clinches itself into an existing research strand on sustainability, and positions actions that contribute to the transformation of our societies towards the common good, more democracy, sustainability and climate justice in the field of LEARNABILITY. Through various formats - kick-off discussion, building and living narratives, process building blocks, project presentations, open house in collaborative living projects - we take visitors on an adventurous journey into the world of collaborative building & living.
