In the coming years, a new neighborhood with 6,500 new apartments and around 5,000 jobs will be built on the site of the former Nordwestbahnhof (Northwest Railway Station) in Brigittenau. Where the railroad and factory site previously formed a barrier of more than 1.5 km through the district, generous green and recreational areas as well as public transportation lines will create new connections in the future. What's more, the new neighborhood will be built as sustainably and resource-efficiently as possible in accordance with the principles of the circular economy. What are the concrete plans? And what highlights can residents and neighbors expect?
