By 2040, Vienna wants to be "climate neutral," i.e., gradually reduce greenhouse gas emissions to zero. At the same time, the city must be designed in such a way that the high quality of life is maintained despite the already noticeable progress of climate change. What does this mean in concrete terms for the development of new districts and the transformation of existing neighborhoods? What qualities must a climate-friendly neighborhood have? Where do we have to become active?
