A special contribution to the high quality of life in the Per-Albin-Hansson-Siedlung is made by the generous green and open spaces. These green spaces are to be preserved, but at the same time made more usable for the population. This is because both the demands of local recreation and the everyday suitability of open spaces change over the course of time.
A consumption- and barrier-free neighborhood center with green pergolas, seating, a ping-pong table, a drinking fountain and spray steles as well as a community garden with (barrier-free) raised beds will connect residents and local institutions on the Bergtaidingwiese in the area of Bergtaidingweg/Eugenie-Fink-Gasse and encourage them to make greater use of the existing green space there for joint initiatives and activities.
The care of the raised beds is accompanied and moderated by wohnpartner. The neighborhood center was planned by Wiener Stadtgärten (MA42) as part of the IBA_Wien and financed by the district of Favoriten.
Grätzelfest in the IBA neighborhood Per-Albin-Hansson-Siedlung. Along the Bergtaidingweg, information and entertainment for all generations are on the program: from expert guided tours on the innovations in the settlement, to music, food and drink, to games and fun.
