Gaswerkpark

Gaswerkpark is located in the heart of the Neu Leopoldau residential district and stretches south of Tauschekgasse between Menzelstraße and Richard-Neutra-Weg. Tauschekstraße serves as the main access axis. Activity islands with various play, sports and dwelling opportunities are strung out in the form of a usable play pipeline. The pipeline as a characteristic design element of the park establishes a historical connection to the former use of the area as a gas works. In the east of the park, a terrain modeling with a seating grandstand allows visitors to observe the action in the park. Two flower meadow areas with shrubs reinforce the green framework of the park to the south. Along Menzelstraße and Marischkapromenade, areas of perennials and grasses form the flowering prelude to the park
