To neighborhood walk
The focus of the project is on exercise and sports, which is also reflected in the design of the ground floor zone. In line with the motto "Social integration through sports," a sports club with an associated canteen will be located there. Cooperation with major sports associations and special attention to a low entry threshold support the goal of promoting social competence and cohesion in the Grätzel.
The project consists of two buildings with a total of 90 subsidized rental apartments and twelve commercial spaces, including an office, a studio on the ground floor, five additional studios on the upper floor and coworking. The "SEEsc" (Seestadt Aspern Sport Club) sports club in the Urban Lakeside is the central carrier of the sporting guiding idea to promote low-threshold movement and sports activities and is intended to encourage future residents to participate in neighborhood sports activities.
In addition, residents have access to rentable studios on the 5th floor and coworking areas. There are also four shared apartments for apprentices and young workers. An 80 m² meeting room with south-facing terraces and a kitchen are available to all residents. A common club center with its own canteen and outdoor seating is planned for SEEsc. General green and open spaces are available in the large inner courtyard. These are shared with neighboring building sites and include a large play or recreational lawn, tree planting, seating areas and a path connection to neighboring building sites.
