The IN-Box is a pilot project implemented by Wiener Wohnen in cooperation with Wien Energie. The IN-Box is a parcel box system with a digital info screen that is open to all delivery services and in which parcels can be temporarily stored until flexible pickup. In addition, the parcel boxes can be used as a form of neighborhood assistance, for example, by allowing neighbors to deposit everyday items for each other. The info screen is used to communicate information to tenants in a low-threshold manner and to display current information about the weather and surrounding public transport connections.

The IN-Boxes are part of the "Vienna - out of the box" project of Wiener Stadtwerke. The focus is on operator-independent boxes that reduce CO2 emissions by avoiding multiple delivery attempts. The "Wien Box" logo on the boxes serves as a "seal of quality" and a sign that a parcel box is part of the open network. The aim is to make an important contribution to Vienna's parcel logistics of the future.
In the Per-Albin-Hansson-Siedlung Ost, three outdoor parcel box systems will be installed in residential building passageways, and one indoor parcel box system will be installed in the Olof-Palme-Hof.
