The landmarked Wohlfahrtsgebäude (Welfare Building) will be revitalized and accommodate a variety of commercial uses in the neighborhood in the future. The aim of the development of the welfare building is basically to recognize the narrative of the site and to interpret the original function of the existing building into a contemporary concept of use. Thus, the Welfare Building should be oriented towards the residents of the Neu Leopoldau neighborhood and beyond, in order to promote a mix on a social and use-based level.
