IBA_Wien meets architects 02

In a joint series of lectures, the Az W and the IBA_Vienna call international architects to Vienna, who are taking a new path in their projects.

The focus is on international contributions to the IBA-theme "New Social Housing". This includes inseparable aspects of use mix and integrative neighborhood development. Exemplary projects should stimulate the discussions and the construction process around the IBA_Vienna.

The second guest is the Indian architect Anupama Kundoo — who, at the latest, also became known to an international public with the installation of her low-cost Wall House at the Venice Biennale of Architecture in 2016. She also closes the symposium "Self-Build Meets Municipal Housing".

The lecture is in English.

Lecture: Anupama Kundoo (Indien/Spanien)
Marie-Therese Harnoncourt, tnE Architects (Vienna)

This time, IBA meets Architects features the architectural duo Flores & Prats. In 1924, the cooperative "Justícia i Pau" built a socio-cultural centre in Barcelona. From the 1980s, the building stood empty until it was given a new lease of life with the conversion by Flores & Prats.
