Josef Frank was an architect, activist and intellectual. His central interest was the social housing issue. Despite his socialist positioning, his liberal ideas about housing in Red Vienna did not prevail. "Under no circumstances must the resident have the feeling of being a number," were among Frank's core statements, as was his demand "Forward to nature." What can we learn from Frank's humanistic views of housing and life today? What could residential buildings look like that continue his approaches? A symposium of the Az W - Architekturzentrum Wien with lectures on international (residential) building positions gives impulses to think Frank further for today.

An event with impulse lectures and discussion on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the Vienna Werkbundsiedlung.

Language: This event will be held in German.
