What has the IBA_Vienna to do with Tennis?
Nothing at the first glance.
BUT:
The future IBA-Quarter Am Seebogen in the Seestadt Aspern area is charactterized by the variety of future offers related to "health-excercise-sports". The spectrum ranges from health, indoor sports facilities, bouldering through a new sports club for children and young people and many synergies with the future creative facilities of the school and the youth center up to targeted offers in the new park.
As a first forecast, a Tennis Week for kids and youngsters is organized from 8 to 14 of September 2018 in cooperation with the Vienna Tennis Association and the City School Council.
The opening will take place as part of the Street Festival in Seestadt on 8. September. Children from 4 to 10 years of age can experience tennis under professional supervision already from 10 clock on in the ball cage of the elementary school on the Hanna-Arendt-Square (Platz) according to the principles of the sport pedagogy elaborated by the Ballschule Heidelberg (Ball School Heidelberg).
We kindly ask for a binding registration in the relevant age groups as well as for the desired time slot. Each time slot can provide an opportunity for up to 16 kids of a certain age category. The registration works according to the first come first serve principle.
From 10 to 14 of September it will be the turn of the schools and young apprendices of WienWork. Registration takes place directly through the schools or WienWork.

15.00 - 16.30 h Opening "Tennis Week" on the big stage with tennis star Stefan Koubek
16.30 h Awarding ceremony of the mystery ralley by the Head of District Ernst Nevrivy
