Campus of Religions

A new lighthouse project is being created in the "Am Seebogen" neighborhood: the Campus of Religions. It is being built by the participating religious communities with the support of the City of Vienna and the development company of Seestadt Wien 3420 aspern Development AG. As an interreligious forum, the campus is to give expression to the principle of "togetherness" and "learning from one another". 

An open place of pastoral care, education and comprehensive cultural exchange is planned, which will make a special contribution to life in the Seestadt. At the same time, this is a singular project with charisma for the entire city of Vienna and far beyond, a peace project that will also have international appeal. In addition to the integration of religious, ethical and cultural aspects, this "lighthouse" is therefore also expected to meet high urban planning and architectural standards. 

With the project of the Campus of Religions, the participating religious communities combine the goal of a diverse, open practice characterized by mutual learning in the sense of equality. The Campus is not intended to be an open-air museum of religions, but a place of lived religious convictions, respect and ideological tolerance.
