In the "In der Wiesen Süd" project, a new residential neighborhood was developed for the first time in a dialogue-oriented, two-stage competition with a focus on cross-building site coordination. The result is an open and connecting open space, community spaces that can be used across building sites and cover a wide range of interests, as well as an active neighborhood that invites people to participate in community activities and celebrates festivals in various groupings. Technical infrastructures have been created to facilitate digital booking and access to community facilities.
The walk begins with a short lecture on the history of the neighborhood's development and leads through the buildings as well as the common spaces and outdoor areas. Afterwards, the space will be opened for conversation: What can urban development actors learn from the "In der Wiesen Süd" neighborhood and for newly emerging neighborhoods?
